We acknowledge the under-representation of Black, Indigenous, and People of Color in the Pilates world, and we are committed to changing this. We believe that in order to make Pilates truly accessible to all, it is vital to encourage not only body, gender, sexual, ability and religious diversity, but also diversity in race & ethnicity in students, teachers and studio owners. We recognize that systemic racism has impacted all industries in this country, including Pilates-thereby creating a wealth gap for communities of color. As such, we are providing this scholarship in an attempt to bridge the financial gap for one student of color. It is our hope to increase these opportunities in the future.
The intention of this scholarship is to elevate the voices of, make the health and wellness industry more accessible to, and grant financial opportunities for Black, Indigenous and People of Color.
These opportunities will be awarded to an individual who has a true passion to spread the method of classical Pilates throughout the community.
