Favorite Pilates exercise?: I love Hundreds. I love the feeling when you challenge for core engagement. It is the time in any Pilates workout that makes me get super warm, and I feel like I have accomplished so much in my body just from that one exercise.
What got you into Pilates?: Emily talked me into it 7-8 years ago because she was convinced I needed it to balance my hard cardio with stretching and core work. I was playing ice hockey and running and needed Pilates to create balance in my body and in my life.
How long have you been an instructor?: This is my first year!
Why do you love teaching at Move Studio?: This studio has such a positive supportive group of instructors and it starts at the top. All of the experienced instructors have been so helpful in this journey. It is a wonderful environment where clients thrive along with the instructors. We are encouraged not only to challenge ourselves, but to challenge our clients to be the best that they can be. I love it!!!!
Describe your style of teaching: I gravitate towards a more athletic class. I try to get all parts every class along with stretching. I try to encourage my clients, whether it is in spin, TRX or reformer, to remember you are stronger than you think you are. Try and set little goals for yourself and be proud of all that you accomplish each and every class.
